I was in a quest to find a suitable moisturising product which had multiple uses. I've used the likes of Liz Earle, Clinique and LaPrairie, all of which have been great, but are very 'single use'. My skin, particularly around the jaw region, had started to become dry due to the change in seasons.
I had a browse on Cult Beauty's website and came across a little tub called The Green Balm by MOA - Magic Organic Apothecary. This little pot claims to do a plethora of things - from aiding the healing process of burns, healing cuts and grazes, to removing eye make up and cleansing skin. It even helps heal bruises - and if you're anything like me, you will find this extremely useful. After reading the reviews, I thought why not?
Cult Beauty sell this product for £4.99 for a 15ml pot or £9.99 for a 50ml pot - I'm sure you can guess which one I went for. The product arrived within three working days, which was great as I was desperate to try it.
The box in which the product arrived in was super cute. On opening it, it says BOO (a great touch). The product is (as the name states) organic and contains yarrow (which I believe you can find in your garden?!). The balm isn't heavily scented which is a relief, although it is organic, some natural products can have a tendency to have a very organic smell. The pot is a great size and fits nicely in my make up case.
On my first night of using, I used it in as many ways as possible. I put it on the ends of my hair, I used it to remove my make up, I conditioned my eyelashes and finally I used it as an all over facial moisturiser. It does take quite a while to 'sink in' but then again, I really lathered it on. On waking, my skin did feel really soft. Even on appearance, the redness of a blemish on my forehead had decreased a vast amount. As this takes a while to sink in, I will use it before bedtime, but not as a moisturiser to put on in the morning. As it's a balm it is rather shiny so I would not want it to interfere with my make up.
I really like how this product can be used for a variety of things. I think for the price, it's extremely good value for money. This little pot can do wonders! It's still early days, but so far i'm really enjoying this product. Please let me know if you've bought this product yourself, and feel free to leave any comments!
